After an extended illness, Carol May of Palm Coast passed to the Kingdom of Heaven on January 9, 2017. She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends. Carol Cavalski was born on September 5, 1939 in New York City. She moved to Erie, PA where she grew up, was educated, married and had 3 children. The family moved to Connecticut and then to Rhode Island for 25 years. Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved to Palm Coast, FL and have been there for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Grand Haven Golf Club, the Women’s 18 and 9 hole organizations, The Palm Coast Women’s Club, and earlier volunteered at Second Hand Rose-the Hospital Hospice Thrift Store. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by Darrell May, her husband of 54 years, 3 children (Colleen Fulton of Leesburg, VA, Lori May-Simpson of Dublin, OH, and Douglas May of Windham, NH), 5 grandchildren, and her devoted Bichon Buddy. There will be a Mass at 11 AM on January 28th at St. Mary’s Church-Korona in Bunnell, FL followed by a reception at 12:30 pm at the Grand Haven Golf Club. An early spring burial is planned in Erie, PA.
